Lawrence Council welcomes a new Member

On Thursday May 26th twenty members of Lawrence Council together with three visitors met to welcome to the Order a new member.

 
The Council was opened by the Master Bill Bruce, he then welcomed the District Prefect Paul Snape, and then everyone settled back together for an enjoyable night of Allied Masonry.
 
Before any further business could be undertaken a surprise guest !! (and Member) demanded admission, yes you've guessed it, it was the Grand Master Tom Jackson, who entered the Council to spontaneous applause.

A moving eulogy was conducted for Timothy John Lewis Past Grand Master by the present Grand Master Tom Jackson.
 
The next business, an Admission into the Degree of St. Lawrence the Martyr, the candidate Eric Kos, this ceremony was carried by Bill Bruce W.M. and his team of Officers. The lecture was presented by W.Bro Richard Higson.
Mike Dalley, Bill Bruce, Simon Dalley
Following that Ceremony, a Lodge of Grand Tiler was opened, Eric Kos together with father and son Mike and Simon Dalley were admitted to the degree.
The Ceremony was conducted by Bill Bruce assisted by members of the Council; Vic Norris then presented the Lecture.
 
Before the meeting closed the District Prefect Paul Snape congratulated and thanked everyone who had taken part in the Ceremony commenting on the excellence of their work.
A musical interlude with Mike Hatton
In reply Bill Bruce thanked the District Grand Prefect for his generous comments inviting him together with the Grand Master and all present to join him for well earned refreshment and dinner.
